Do you need to a apply for an EHC assessment?
It is really important for us to say that you can use resources online to apply for an EHCP assessment independently of Bright Futures.
However, Bright Futures have made some resources to help make it as easy as possible for you; but you do not need to use us. We have done many focus groups with families and we have discovered that many EHC applications get turned down, parents are put off from applying and families simply do not have the time to continue a battle that should not be a battle in the first place. Sometimes you need a bit of a helping hand, and that is why we are here - to try to make the process less-stressful, more successful and more efficient for you.

With the right evidence and following the key points set out in the Code of Practice, your application should be successful. If not, Bright Futures can also support you to challenge this through appeal, but in essence the idea is to not get to this point.
